That I understand that Griffith Open (GO) does not assume any responsibility if there is any breach of copyright in distributing these files or metadata.

Griffith College does not hold any obligation to take legal action on behalf of the Depositor, or other rights holders, in the event of breach of intellectual property rights, or any other right, in the material deposited.

I understand that: 

Once the Work is deposited, GO will enable metadata harvesting of this content – amplifying visibility and discoverability. Metadata will be indexed into public access catalogues and discoverable through search engines such as Google, Google Scholar and other specialty academic search engines.

The full-text of the work will be available to view except where a temporary restriction to the full-text of the work is required by the publisher or rights holder(s)

This citation to the Work will always remain visible. Removal of the item may be made in consultation with the institutional repository administration. The repository administration reserves the right to remove the Work for any professional, administrative or legal reason.

Rights granted to the GO institutional repository through this agreement are entirely non-exclusive. I am free to publish the Work in its present version or future versions elsewhere.

I agree that Griffith College may electronically store, copy or translate the Work to any medium or format for future preservation and accessibility. Griffith College is not under any obligation to reproduce or display the Work in the same formats or resolutions in which it was originally deposited.

While every care will be taken to preserve the e-print, Griffith College is not liable for loss or damage to the e-print or other data while it is stored within the repository. 

Library staff may create deposits on behalf of patrons.

Griffith College Dissertations: 

Learners are required to sign the Deposit Agreement and Declaration, stating that the thesis submitted is the candidate’s own work. This Declaration will include acknowledgement that you agree to your work being deposited by Library staff on your behalf onto GO, where a grade of 60% or above is achieved. If there are considerations of privacy and/or copyright, these should be discussed at faculty level, who will then inform and liaise with the Library. In this case, if it is appropriate, a record may still be included on the repository with the abstract available to view only. 

 You must also acknowledge that you have read and agreed to GO’s Copyright and Mediated Deposit Service policies.

 At present Library staff deposit research materials on behalf of Griffith College faculty and staff members. By using the Mediated Deposit Service, you are deemed to have agreed to the terms of the declaration under the Deposit License Agreement above, and that you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to GO’s Copyright and Mediated Deposit Service policies.
