Lecturer Support

Need help? Just ask.

The Library is committed to supporting all staff and lecturers in their professional practice. We can provide tailored assistance for teaching within the classroom. We offer support for face to face, in-class teaching or for Blended classes.

We are also here to support you in your continuous personal professional development.

Learn about our range of supports

The Library is here to support lecturers and academic staff across all Griffith College campuses. We meet with both our new and current colleagues to go through key library services and resources, and to ensure that we are aware of both your needs and those of your students.

We encourage you to contact us to see where we can best link in with your teaching and learning needs. A one to one conversation often allows us to identify areas where we can plug in to your teaching, and offer complementary resources or in-class assistance. Contact us to arrange a meeting or to discuss how we can best support you.

Services the Library offers include:

  • Guidance on using the library databases and online resources, both for your own research needs and those of your students
  • Bespoke in-class workshops to reflect your class assignments
  • Flip classes designed to support class projects
  • Video tutorials on research skills
  • Support in identifying alternative electronic versions of primary and secondary texts
  • Inclusion of research output on Griffith Open, Griffith College's institutional repository, to support your personal research profile

Contact the Library to arrange a meeting to discuss how we can best support you.
