Welcome to Griffith College Library
The Library is at the centre of learning and research support at Griffith College, available to both staff and students.
We provide a research and learning hub across our campuses in Cork, Limerick and Dublin, through the physical library spaces and through our online presence. Our mission is to support our users in their studies, lifelong learning and professional development.
It is our policy to make as many of our services available online as possible. We are committed to facilitating part-time and blended students, and students wishing to work from home. In support of this goal, the Library is actively engaged in using and supporting new and emerging technology to enhance the learner experience.
Griffith Library offers structured online, learning resources for both our students and staff. Through our range of materials, we support student learning, research potential and continuing professional development. We provide access to a range of subject specific journal databases and online training tutorials. In addition, we provide materials to develop research skills, academic writing and referencing. In-class workshops, small tailored group workshops and orientations are available on request, as well as face-to-face individual support.
The mission of the College’s library is:
- to promote learning support, life-long learning skills and continuous educational achievement by meeting the diverse education and research needs of learners, faculty and staff
- to continually discover and anticipate its customers’ needs and expectations and to develop new services that fully meet and exceed those needs and expectations
- to build, select and preserve, in cooperation with College faculties and departments, a collection of information resources commensurate with the current and anticipated discipline needs of the College’s instructional programmes and supportive of teaching and learning processes
